Sphelite ACD-100, an amino carboxylic acid chelating resin, is composed of a polystyrene divinyl benzene polymer framework. It features CH2N(CH2COOH)2 functional groups, where the nitrogen (N) and oxygen (O) atoms possess lone pair electrons capable of forming complexes with cations like Cu2+, Pb2+, Fe2+, Cd2+, Ni2+, and Zn2+. In contrast to conventional cation exchange resins, ACD-100 exhibits superior exchange capacity and rate, making it a widely adopted and well-established application in various industries.
