Product Introduction
Sphelite ACD-800B is a macroporous chelating resin with a styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer matrix. Gallium-selective functional groups are grafted onto the polymer backbone, giving a coordination (chelation) working mechanism instead of simple ion exchange. The broad 0.315-1.25mm size range and 60-70% moisture content suit enrichment duties across a wide set of alkaline liquid systems.

Application Notes
- Working capacity 3.5g/L minimum for gallium on alkaline feed.
- Rinse with 1-2BV pure water before the first adsorption cycle.
- Keep suspended solids at or below 1 ppm to protect the chelating groups.
- Elute with the Na2S·9H2O / NaOH mixed regenerant, then activate with 5.0mol/L NaOH.
Operating Conditions
Pre-treatment: Rinse resin with 1-2BV pure water.
Adsorption Conditions: SS ≤ 1 ppm.
Regeneration:
- Regenerants: 4~6BV mixed solution (0.8333mol/L Na₂S·9H₂O + 2.5mol/L NaOH) and 2BV 5.0mol/L NaOH
- Concentration: 0.8333mol/L Na₂S·9H₂O + 2.5mol/L NaOH, 5.0 mol/L NaOH
- Flowrates: 1-1.5BV/h (mixed eluent), 2BV/h (water & NaOH)
- Rinse resin with 2~4BV pure water twice before elution and prior to NaOH activation
Storage Proposal
The storage temperature of this material shall not be higher than 90°C. Stored above 0°C in wet state. In the storage state, keep the package sealed well to prevent water loss. In case of water loss, soak the dry resin in ethanol for about 2 hours, wash it with clean water and then repackage or use it. Prevent the spheroid from freezing and cracking in winter. If freezing is found, melt slowly at room temperature.
