Product Description
The ACD-800A macroporous chelating resin is specifically designed for extracting gallium using acid methods. This advanced resin enables efficient enrichment of metallic gallium ions from alumina mother liquor prepared by the Bayer process, offering significant advantages in cost, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.
Manufactured from polystyrene and acrylonitrile copolymer, ACD-800A features specialized functional groups with high affinity and selectivity for gallium ions (Ga³⁺). Unlike conventional ion exchange resins, it operates through coordination chemistry (chelation) principles, providing superior performance in gallium recovery applications.
| Appearance | White to pale yellow opaque spherical particles |

- Suspended solids ≤ 1 ppm
- Suspended oil ≤ 1 ppm
- Install resin column (effective size: φ25mm × 300mm), transfer measured resin volume soaked in pure water into column
- Resin filling volume: 25-30 mL (1/4 to 1/3 of resin column)
- Activate resin: rinse with pure water until effluent is clear, then drain; immerse in 5.0 mol/L NaOH solution
- Maintain 2-3 cm liquid level of NaOH solution above resin layer
- Activation completes after 24 hours (resin volume expands to approximately 1.3 times)
- Operating flow rate: 1-5 BV/h
- Operating temperature: ≤ 40℃
- Avoid bubble generation in resin bed layer to prevent cross-flow and maintain optimal performance
- Prevent bacterial contamination by thoroughly cleaning resin with clean water after use to remove accumulated impurities
- Maintain proper moisture content during storage; prevent resin from drying out
- If resin becomes dry, soak in saturated salt water for gradual expansion, then slowly dilute salt concentration
- Prevent freezing or overheating; optimal storage temperature: 5-40℃
- For temperatures below 5℃, use salt water soaking for freeze protection
- For temperatures above 40℃, store indoors in dark location
